Another Play Heads to the Commonweal Theatre

I’m heading back to the Commonweal Theatre in Lanesboro, MN. Well, maybe not me personally but one of my plays. I just found out that my play The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge will be produced by the Commonweal Theatre next year.

Back in 2014 the Commonweal put together a fantastic production of my play Around the World in 80 Days. (It was directed by my friend of 30 years, Alan Bailey, and he did a slam bam job with it). I was invited out there to see the production and to lead a symposium (A fancy word for Talk-Back) at the theatre. I had an amazing time and made some really good friends.

One of the most memorable things about that trip was my friend Jeremy van Meter and I finding ourselves on the Miehlisch Turkey Farm, cheering on Germany at the World Cup with a German family. Wer wusste?

I’m excited that the Commonweal Theatre will be doing another one of my plays. They either have great taste in plays or are gluttons for punishments.

And maybe if I’m really good this year I’ll have the pleasure of visiting everyone up there. See the show, maybe do a reading of a new play and see what’s cooking at the Miehlisch Turkey Farm.
